We had the privilege of sponsoring Future Fest at Harper Adams University, an event dedicated to celebrating local talent and produce while also highlighting some of the brightest minds working towards a better planet. The festival was a fantastic blend of innovation, sustainability, and fun, offering something for everyone.
Highlights of Future Fest:
A Day to Remember
The weather was perfect, with sunshine all day, making it an ideal setting for this family-friendly event. Ian Toal even brought his family along to enjoy the festivities. It was a day filled with delicious food, enlightening talks, and engaging activities.
We want to extend a big thank you to Harper Adams University for hosting such a fantastic event, and to all the vendors and guests who made the day a success. We are honoured to have been a part of Future Fest and look forward to many more opportunities to share our passion for quality food and sustainable practices.
Cathedral City Mac & Cheese Samples
We were thrilled to share our new Cathedral City Mac & Cheese with festival attendees. Throughout the day, we handed out 1,200 samples to the general public, and an additional 800 samples in the VIP area where guests could taste the entire line of Cathedral City ready meals. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our delicious creations.
Live Demonstration Kitchen
One of out talented development chefs, Connor Maughan, took to the Future Food Stage for a live cooking demonstration. Connor showcased how our convenience foods, recreating a dish we supply to Aldi, are made with the same care and quality you’d use at home, just on a larger scale. He demonstrated that convenience doesn’t have to mean compromise on nutrition, taste, and quality.
Insightful Talks
Our CEO, Ian Toal, gave an inspiring speech about the future of Oscar Mayer. He discussed our commitment to our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy, the importance of sustainable practices, and our stance against ultra-processed foods. Ian’s talk was a highlight of the day, off ering valuable insights into our company’s future direction.
Pollution Pods
One of the most intriguing features of Future Fest was Michael Pinsky’s Pollution Pods. These interconnected domes allowed visitors to experience the atmospheres of some of the world’s most polluted cities, from the coastal areas of Norway to the bustling streets of São Paulo. It was a powerful reminder of the environmental challenges we face and the importance of sustainable practices.
Future Fest Stage and Harper Village
The Future Fest Stage hosted a variety of acts and speakers, providing entertainment and education throughout the day. Harper Village was a hub of activity, featuring street food and treats with a sustainable twist. The mix of musicians and performers kept the energy high and the atmosphere lively.
