We employ around 2,500 members of staff and have a diverse workforce, made up of 40 nationalities.
People & Development Academy
Our People and Development Academy focuses on providing the learning environment to develop our people, providing a development framework from Apprenticeship, NVQ, Placement, and Graduate opportunities to Management development programmes.
Our Learning and Development teams support this programme across all our sites to ensure everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge so that they can they can access talent development opportunities across all areas of our business.
The Oscar Mayer Awards
Our Awards scheme “The Oscars” recognises team members who go above and beyond the call of duty. Anyone in the business can make a nomination and winners are announced monthly.
Adding Zing to our workplace
Our employee awards programme gives all colleagues access to savings and special offers with a large number of retailers and local deals for each site.
Creating positive change
Colleagues are encouraged to join our site based groups – Works Council, Food Safety Group, Health & Safety Committee (or even all three!) to help us to continually make important and lasting change within in our business.

Key responsibilities of my role:
- Communication is a key skill required in my role
- I support the shift managers in delivering the operational plan – helping to ensure that we have right people in the right place and with the support of the supervisors ensuring that we are manufacturing our products safely and to the right quality
Things I love about working for Oscar Mayer:
- OM has embraced technology over the past few years which means we can work more efficiently and collaboratively regardless of physical location
- There is such passion for the food we produce. The people culture here is second to non, there is a genuine respect for others’ ideas, values and beliefs.
Key responsibilities of my role:
- My day to day responsibilities are very varied – from analysing data to working closely with the commercial and development teams to identify future opportunities for our customers.
Things I love about working for Oscar Mayer:
- I work in partnership with a group of lovely people, with varied skills and who are supportive and helpful. I also have excellent line management support which makes working with OM very pleasant.
- I love people and the diverse range of people working within our organisation, they all bring something unique to our business and l am glad to be part of this.
- I enjoy the variety of my work, and making a difference.
Key responsibilities of my role
- I am the Senior Clinical lead for OM, so this involves supporting the wider business on all health and wellbeing matters.
- The development of a positive health and well-being strategy across OM
Things I love about working for Oscar Mayer:
- Being a key player in producing 4 million Pigs in Blankets every year
- Looking at the exciting innovations for the coming year and delivering a product we can all be proud of
Key responsibilities of my role:
- Working as part of a team to deliver product consistency for the end consumer
- I work closely with the OM Procurement teams ensuring that we have the right ingredients and processes for each recipe
